The following are common questions that we receive about the Confidence Survey Program. If you need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to call our Confidence Survey Team at 630.325.6170!
Q: What scales are used in the questionnaires?
A: The surveys incorporate a variety of response scales. Rating Scales:
5-point scale from “Very Poor” to “Very Good.” Agreement scales - again
on a 5 point scale ranging from “Strongly Disagree” to “Strongly Agree.”
Satisfaction scales ranging from “Very Dissatisfied” to “Very Satisfied,”
again on a 5-point scale.
Q: What is the cost per survey?
A: Please refer to the pricing sheet on the resources page.
Q: Do you provide recommendations and methods for sampling respondents?
A: The Confidence Satisfaction surveys have historically been administered
as a census - that is all eligible respondents in any survey category. This provides us with adequate numbers for analysis. We also believe that sampling may disenfranchise some potential respondents. If very large numbers of potential respondents exist, sampling methodology can be discussed with the Confidence Survey staff.
Q: What is the turnaround time to obtain results?
A: We require 60 days turnaround time to process surveys after the established cut-off date - the date after which no additional surveys will be added to the response set.
Q: What are the types of questions?
A: We have taken great care in constructing the survey questions to provide meaningful information to organizations. We have worked with providers throughout the survey design process in order to capture the dimensions of care and service that have been identified as important to residents, families and employees. Questions focus on issues related to quality of care, service provision, administration of the organization and the staff. “Open-ended” questions provide opportunities for your customers to address what your organization does best and opportunities for improvement!
Q: How are results sent?
A: Results are sent in electronic format (PDF file). Hard copy reports are available upon request for an additional cost. Talk to your Confidence representative about your data needs. Web format is being investigated, but will not be available at this time.
Q: How large is your database for comparison?
A: The databases total over 35,000 records and are repopulated annually.
Q: Are benchmarks available?
A: Yes, in each survey category, benchmarks reflecting the entire database are a part of each report.
